The Vexed Bottom Meat is a pioneering hybrid jig and bait assist, unique to the world of fishing. Every angler has experienced challenging conditions such as a full moon, northerly wind, strong current, dud tide, or cold-water temperature that make it difficult to land a catch. In such situations, most anglers have resorted to adding a small piece of bait to their jig head to increase their chances of success. However, this often leads to missed opportunities and the frustration of having bait ripped off the jig head.
As an angler who faced similar issues, I came up with the idea for the Vexed Bottom Meat one early morning at 2 am. I utilized my creativity and came up with a unique design that has since undergone three improvements. The latest design features a circle hook on the top and a glow/UV skirt that attracts fish and encourages them to attack the top circle hook.
Unlike traditional jig and bait combinations that typically have two hooks, the Vexed Bottom Meat boasts three hooks that can accommodate longer fish strips, whole squid, or octopus legs. The straight streamlined bait glides to the bottom more efficiently and is presented better than a bent-up flappy bait with only two hooks.
