The Shimano SLX low-profile reel features a HAGANE Body and brass gearing, giving anglers premium Shimano technology without breaking the bank. The brass gears inside the SLX’s compact HAGANE Body deliver reliable cranking power and smoothness. The SLX low-profile reel incorporates a compact design comparable to a 70-sized reel, but the reel’s 150-sized spool has enough capacity for 135 yards of 30-pound PowerPro to provide anglers needed line capacity.

Hagane Body 
The HAGANE Body is produced from high rigidity aluminium or magnesium. This creates stiffness and impact resistance, while at the same time eliminating flexing of the body. The result is a rock-solid housing and support for the moving internal gearing and greater efficiency throughout the reel.

SVS Infinity 
Shimano's newest innovation in brake system technology, SVS Infinity provides easy to manage, consistent spool control and brake force. The external adjustment knob provides for quick, precise adjustments for either the conditions or when you switch baits.
 

Silent Line
