Professional Single-User Electric Knife Sharpener
The Nirey KE3000 Sharpener is a versatile single-user professional knife sharpening appliance designed to sharpen knives quickly and easily. This knife sharpener has been introduced into the range to bridge the gap between the purely domestic KE-198 Sharpener and the KE-280 Commercial Knife Sharpener. The unit houses a patented cushion-contact system that produces a razor-sharp and polished edge, time after time. The exact same technique is used within the big brother commercial unit, the KE-280. This assembly, however, is designed for the single-user and includes a lighter frame, motor and transmission.

Unlike the domestic-rated appliance, there is a degree of skill required to operate this machine. 

Sharpening Guide:
Sharpening Stage 1: Useful for blades with a very blunt edge. You will need to use the medium abrasive belts fitted on carrier wheels. So follow the instructions and open the machine, swap out the belts and get going! 

Connect the Sharpener to your mains power supply.
Turn the power switch to ‘I’.
Hold the knife’s handle firmly and place the blade in the left sharpening guide. 
Apply sufficient yet gentle pressure, allowing the knife-blade to make contact with the sharpening wheel.
Gently draw the blade back to the tip using a smooth motion. Do not twist or roll the edge.
Repeat this process for the right side.
Note: As a guide, each pull for a 6-inch blade should take 2-3 seconds. An 8-inch blade should take 4 seconds and longer blades 6+ seconds.
1-2 pulls on each side is usually sufficient. Check the knife-edge carefully and perform the action again if necessary on both sides of the knife blade.
Once you have sharpened your knives, take off the medium abrasive belts and wheels, replacing them with the fine belts for future sharpenings.
